Dolphin City of Chennai began as a large sea water tank focusing animal feats made by the dolphins. Four dolphins were brought to this amusement park and the launching was really a big success. Unfortunately the dolphins could not adapt to the new habitat. Within six months the dolphins were no more. Thereby the management initiated search for alternatives. This brought about the introduction of sea lions to the park, who went on entertaining the people.

Location

Dolphin City amusement park is situated on the East Coast Road and is about 46 kms from Chennai city center. This fun filled water park was initiated by yet another amusement park, the Little Folks. The Little Folks amusement park lies just opposite to the Dolphin City.
